THE BREAKTHROUGH DEDICATED ADVISORS

Breakthrough Manchester at SNHU's College-Bound program features dedicated advisors who are highly motivated, well-organized, and passionate undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent alums. These advisors serve Breakthrough Manchester College-Bound students towards becoming powerful self-advocates by checking in with them virtually every week, and in-person roughly every month. Students can expect personalized coaching on building essential skills, planning a high school path, searching for best-match-and-fit colleges, and completing applications.

ERIKA CANTARELLA

Class of 2022 Advisor

Erika is going to become a student teacher at Memorial High as she wraps up her final year at SNHU. Over the past year she was able to be a full-time lead teacher working with two year olds. She aspires to run her own daycare some day. She is very excited to see her advisors graduate this year!

HANNAH COHEN

Class of 2022 Advisor

Hannah recently graduated with her undergraduate degree from SNHU this past year and since then has started a Masters of Education program also at SNHU to become certified to teach grades 5-12 in English Langrage Arts. When not working on her degree, you can find her giving tours for SNHU, reading, drawing and drinking lots of coffee. She is excited to see her advisees flourish for their senior year.

SARAH ZARAKOTAS

Class of 2022 Advisor

Sarah is a junior at SNHU majoring in Elementary Education with Special Education and a minor in Psychology. She also competes for the cross-country and Track & Field teams at SNHU. When she's not in the classroom, she spends a lot of my time running and hanging out with her teammates.

STEPHANIE MATTE

Class of 2022 Advisor

Stephanie is a rising junior at SNHU studying Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Education. She plans on earning her masters in Business Education and becoming a high school business teacher. At SNHU, Stephanie is also an RA, works in the Chandler Center, and is the Vice President of Budget and Finance for SGA. This is Stephanie's first year working with the Breakthrough program and is so excited to meet her students!

AREE LEMON

Class of 2023 Advisor

Areanna (Aree) is a Psychology Major going into her Senior year at Southern New Hampshire University. Over the past year she has been working full time with an organization called Girls Inc and loves every minute of it. This will be her first year as a Breakthrough Advisor and she is so excited!

COLEEN DE LANOY

Class of 2023 Advisor

Coleen graduated from SNHU with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. This will be her third year as a Dedicated Advisor and she is very excited to continue working with the Breakthrough program! In her spare time, Coleen enjoys participating in community service projects, trying out new recipes, and reading.

JACOB BRIEN

Class of 2023 Advisor

Jacob is a Senior at Southern New Hampshire University studying History with a minor in education, and he is also studying French and Mandarin. This year will be his third year as an advisor to the Breakthrough program! He is an avid adventurer who loves exploring the great outdoors and the many cultures of the world. He enjoys discussing his faith in Jesus, learning of the wonders of our society, and motivating others to do incredible things. Outside of academics, Jacob is a landscaper, loves studying apologetics, is a leader of SNHU’s Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, and is working on writing his first book.

JORDAN JULIO

Class of 2023 Advisor

Jordan is a recent graduate from the Bradley Three Year Honors Program at Southern New Hampshire University and is working towards a Masters Degree in Business Analytics at SNHU. This is his third year as an advisor and he is very eager to continue to share his experiences in & out of the classroom to help students grow & become the best versions of themselves possible. He is also the former head Team Manager for the SNHU men's basketball team, and when he's not in the office, classroom or on the court, he's either playing basketball with his friends or in the gym getting in a workout. He also enjoys football, nutrition, and self-improvement.

ALYCIA ASHBY

Class of 2024 Advisor

A former Breakthrough student, Alycia will be entering her second year at Colby-Sawyer College studying biology on a pre-medical track. Alycia loves to dance, travel, and has a deep passion for learning. Hoping to one day be a Physician’s Assistant and treat adults with cancer, Alycia is determined to provide quality care and create a positive impact. She will never turn down a chance for coffee or ice cream and is excited to grow and learn with other Breakthrough students.

KEVIN SHEGANI

Class of 2024 Advisor

Kevin Shegani is a former Breakthrough student who is going to UNH to pursue a degree in English Teaching. This is his second year advising in the high school program, but he was also a Teaching Fellow in the middle school program. His favorite subjects are English and History. He enjoys reading and video games.

NICOLE HARDIMAN

Class of 2024 Advisor

Nicole is a senior at SNHU and is Majoring in psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent development, she is also getting minors in sociology and special education. This is her first year with Breakthrough and she is super excited to meet everyone!

JAMES SILVERIA

Class of 2025 Advisor

James is a rising senior at the University of New Hampshire with a double major in Spanish and Educational Studies. James was a teaching fellow with Breakthrough Manchester this past summer and is looking forward to being back with the 9th grade again! When James isn't teaching, he loves to go to the gym, hike, and rock climb.

KARENA CZZOWITZ

Class of 2025 Advisor

A former Breakthrough Manchester and College-Bound student, Karena is a freshman at Colby Sawyer majoring in pre-med biology with a minor in health care administration.

LINH MAI

Class of 2025 Advisor

Linh is a freshman at SNHU majoring in Politics and Global Affairs. She has been a student of the the Breakthrough program for about 7 years, and she is beyond excited to continue to be a part of it, now as an advisor. She loves everything related to the arts (painting, drawing, playing/listening to music, fashion, writing, etc). Her biggest dream is to create a non-profit organization that ensures education to everyone, especially the children in poverty/third world countries.
