A former Breakthrough Manchester and College-Bound student, Karena is a junior at Southern New Hampshire University majoring in biology on a pre-med track. She wants to focus on neuroscience, mental health, and pediatrics after obtaining her bachelor's degree. She is incredibly excited to be back as an advisor this year. Some of her hobbies include reading, painting, and taking photos.

Linh is a senior at SNHU majoring in Politics and Global Affairs. She has been part of the the Breakthrough program for about 10 years, and she is beyond excited to continue to be an advisor. She loves everything related to the arts (painting, drawing, playing/listening to music, fashion, writing, etc). Her biggest dream is to create a non-profit organization that ensures education to everyone, especially the children in poverty/third world countries.

Lorissa is a third year student majoring in elementary education at Southern New Hampshire University. She is a Breakthrough Manchester and College-Bound alumna having been with the program since middle school. Lorissa enjoys nature, cooking, music, and the other arts. She is very excited to enter her first year as a Breakthrough Advisor!

Venus is a student at Suffolk University, majoring in data analytics and information systems with a concentration in artificial intelligence. They are a Breakthrough alum who is enthusiastic about advising current Breakthrough students.

Carl Desir is from Manchester, New Hampshire, and he is a breakthrough student and college-bound student alumni. He will be going into his third year at Boston College, majoring in biology and minoring in data science. He is excited to have the opportunity to continue to be a part of the Breakthrough community and be a mentor to the college-bound students.

Kaley recently graduated with a Bachelors from the University of New Hampshire. She grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire. She triple-majored in Communication, Philosophy, and Italian Studies. Kaley loves attending concerts, playing board games, skating, and all things art-related. She's excited to be coming back for her second year as an advisor!

Kelsey is a rising senior at Southern New Hampshire University currently majoring in Entrepreneurship with a concentration in Project Management. She is a Breakthrough Manchester alum and entering my third year as a breakthrough advisor! She enjoys outside activities including hiking, kayaking and skiing in the winter! She is currently pursuing a career in finance and my passion is driven by helping my community with financial literacy.

Lajla is a junior at Saint Anselm College with a double major in Cyber Criminology and Computer Science. She also has an intended double minor of Data Analytics and Criminal Justice. She continues to work as a volunteer at the Association of Bosniaks of New Hampshire in an effort to continue the Bosnian culture. This is Lajla's ninth year as a part of the Breakthrough community. She went from being a student in the middle and high school programs, to being a school year teaching fellow in the middle school program, and continues this journey as a College Bound advisor.

Mara is a junior at Saint Anselm College. She is majoring in Nursing with a Spanish minor. This will be her second year as an advisor, but she has been a part of the breakthrough program as a student since middle school.

Megan is currently a third year exercise science student at Colby-Sawyer College. She have been with Breakthrough for 9 years now and this is her second year as an advisor for the college bound program. Along with her exercise science degree, she is pursuing a certificate in coaching and a minor in a food studies. She hopes to bring this knowledge and her love for sports and art to college bound students.

A Wildcat alumnus, Tu Anh graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's in History and a Master's in Secondary Education. As part of his graduate degree, Tu Anh completed his student teaching in the Social Studies Department at Manchester West High School during the '23-'24 school year. He is excited to begin his first year of teaching at Alvirne High School in Hudson. In addition to his involvement with Breakthrough, Tu Anh also tutors at Sylvan Learning in Bedford.

Kayla is a junior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She is a former Breakthrough student and summer teaching fellow. She is delighted to continue on the Breakthrough journey as a College Bound advisor.

Kenyang is a sophomore at Southern New Hampshire University, majoring in Computer Science. Originally from Manchester, he's been part of Breakthrough since 2017, first as a student and program assistant, and now as a committed College Bound advisor. In his free time, he enjoys writing stories, playing the piano and guitar, and reading.

Ricky is a sophomore at Harvard University studying statistics and computer science. Born and raised in Manchester, he has been involved with Breakthrough since 2017—as a student, program assistant, teaching fellow, and now as an advisor for College Bound. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and with friends.

Valerie is a graduate student at Southern New Hampshire University majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development. Outside of school, she enjoys listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and doing photography. This will be her second year as an advisor, and she is very excited to be on board!

Xiomara is a sophomore at the University of New Hampshire and is majoring in Music Education. Xiomara is excited to continue being an advisor for the College Bound program and as an alum of the program looks forward to continue her involvement with this wonderful community. She is passionate about the fine arts, especially music, and looks forward to helping younger students succeed in high school and beyond.

Ethan is a third-year at the University of New Hampshire studying history and mathematics. He loves to play board and card games. He is a member of UNH's mock trial team.

Ezra is originally from Uganda, but he has been living in the USA for 8 years now. He is currently attending SNHU for his marketing degree. A fun fact about Ezra is that he can speak three languages!

Ha My Mai is attending Suffolk University with a focus on Interior Design. He loves video games (fortnite) and playing music!

Nancy is a Freshman at Dartmouth College studying Chemistry. She is a Breakthrough student and College-Bound student alumni, and is thrilled for her first year as an advisor! Outside of school, Nancy enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing field hockey.

Yakira is an incoming freshman at Emerson College and is studying Media Arts Production. After her experience as a Breakthrough Student and BTM Super Saturday teaching fellow, She's extremely excited to become a College-Bound advisor. Her goals include establishing her own film studio and becoming a director. Outside of BTM, she loves baking, films, reading, and hiking. She is also always eager to help and can't wait to be an advisor.
