BEN GENTRY - DIRECTOR

Though he recently defended his dissertation and completed the Doctoral program in Educational Leadership at Southern New Hampshire University, Ben Gentry remains a lifelong learner dedicated to inspiring a passion for learning in others. Since 2010, he has worked diligently as student, staff, and adjunct faculty at SNHU, earning his Master of Education in Secondary English and Master of Fine Arts in Fiction along the way.

When SNHU announced its partnership with Breakthrough Manchester in the summer of 2016, Ben had just finished his student teaching of ninth and tenth grade English for the Master of Education and secondary teacher certification. Jumping at the opportunity to help highly-motivated, under-resourced high school students, he began to build out the Breakthrough Manchester College-Bound program at SNHU that now serves 85 inspiring high school students across all four grades, and has proudly graduated 21 alums who are all attending or planning to attend college!

"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do."
